If you wish to travel in Japan at your own pace, a RAIL PASS is must for you. Traveling by train is the most punctual, safe and efficient way to go, and most major institutions are located near stations.

Who is Eligible?

Available only to travellers visiting Japan from foreign countries for sightseeing purposes. You must have "temporary visitor" visa under the status of Japanese immigration law. Rail passes are not available for people traveling on working holiday or student visas.

How to Purchase

Please CONTACT US to purchase a Japan Railpass Exchange Order BEFORE you leave for Japan. Take this Exchange Order to a nominated JR station with a Rail Pass Exchange Office and they will exchange it for your Rail Pass. Please note that the pass is only valid for exchange for 3 months from the date of issue.

JAPAN RAIL PASSES

JAPAN RAIL PASS covers the entire Japan Railway System, including all JR trains (except Nozomi Shinkansen and sleeper cabins), some buses and ferries. You are able to travel anywhere in Japan for the duration of the pass. There are two types of Japan Rail Pass. Green (first class) and Ordinary (economy class travel). Each is available in consecutive 7, 14 and 21 day passes. With the Japan Rail pass, once in Japan you can reserve seats at no extra cost.

The local currency price, applicable exchange rate, and issue date for an Exchange Order are specified on the Exchange Order itself. PASS prices for children apply from age 6 to and including age 11. Prices are subject to change. The applicable price is the price valid on the date when an Exchange Order is issued. 

JR - WEST RAIL PASS

There are two types in JR-WEST RAIL PASS . The Sanyo Area Pass can be used for travelling to Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima, Hakata (Fukuoka) and other sightseeing places in the Sanyo area via "Nozomi" (Series 500) and other Sanyo Shinkansen super express trains. The Kansai Area Pass can be used for travelling to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara, Himeji and other sightseeing places in the Kansai area via local trains (rapid- service and new rapid-service trains can also be used). Sanyo Area Pass is available in consecutive 4 day and 8 day, and Kansai Area Pass is available in 1 day and consecutive 4 days.

JR- EAST RAIL PASS

With JR EAST RAIL PASS you can travel from Tokyo area to Odawara, Nagano, Niigata, Yamagata, Sendai, Morioka, Akita, Aomori and other sightseeing places in the eastern part of Japan valid on 5 Shinkansens Lines and other limited express trains. This pass is also valid on the Narita Express.

There are two types of JR EAST PASS Green (first class) and Ordinary (economy class travel). Each is available in consecutive 5 day and 10 day, and there is also a Flexible 4 day pass.

JR - KYUHUS RAIL PASS

Here is the perfect ticket for touring through Kyushu. You can travel on JR KYUSHU 's fast Tsubame and Sonic limited express trains as many times as you like, and get on and off any Kyushu Railway Company train freely. JR KYUSHU is avaliable for consecutive 5 days only. To order your pass>>
