Day 1 Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua

Depart from Auckland, travelling south to Hamilton via the Bombay Hills and lush Waikato pastureland. Continue on to Waitomo Caves for a subterranean boat ride marvelling at the sparkling glow worms,then depart for Rotorua, centre of Maori culture. Time to settle into your lodge before this evenings Maori hangi (meal) with a selection of traditionally prepared meats and vegetables plus conventional dishes, followed by a concert featuring Maori songs, chants and the stirring haka (entire group). We have included the fascinating Maori Hangi & Concert in your tour.

Day 2 Free day with Optional sightseeing

A day to explore the delights of this tourist town at your leisure or book on the many sightseeing activities available. Here are some of our recommondations - the Agrodome for a display featuring New Zealand’s various sheep breeds with a shearing demonstration. See pools of brown and rainbow trout at Rainbow Springs Park and native birds including the Kiwi. Visit the Thermal Reserve area, with boiling mud, silica terraces and Pohutu Geyser. The spectacular Skyline Gondola offers superb views over city, lake and mountains and for a little excitement, try a Luge ride are just a few of what's on offer.. Day 3 Rotorua - Queenstown

Depart Rotorua for the airport and board your flight to Queenstown. Depending on your arrival time in Queenstown and time permitting you will depart on a sightseeing tour around the area followed by a stop at the picturesque gold-mining town of Arrowtown before heading back to Queenstown .

Day 4 Free day with Optional sightseeing

A day to explore the delights of this alpine resort at your leisure or book on the many sightseeing activities available. We recommend the world famous Shotover Jet Boat ride,a cruise on Lake Wakatipu,or take a Gondola to the Skyline high above, a Bungy Jump or for the adventurous - Skiing. Alternatively browse in the many shops and galleries.A full day for you to enjoy this fabulous resort .We suggest you book from the range optional tours available. These Include:

Day 5 Queenstown - Mt Cook - Christchurch

Begin by travelling through the rocky and formidable Kawarau Gorge and over the Lindis Pass into Mt Cook National Park. Lunch along the way before arriving at the Hermitage located in the National Park or time for a scenic flight (optional) before crossing Burkes Pass to Fairlie and across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, arriving early evening.Free time tonight.

Day 6 Free day with Optional sightseeing
